Basic Info
Name:Guy Cecil
Bio
Guy Cecil . Paradisa
Series/Fandom: Tales of the Abyss
Persality and Appearance

Age: 21
Gender: Male
Species: Human
Sexuality: Bisexual (but the women have to try really hard to get past his gynophobia). Thus, for the most part, he's either gay or asexual. <3
Appearance: Guy is one of those few people who has a sincere look about him, and can manage to make the homely look of a servant look not homely at all. These two combining factors spell utter trouble for him, so far as his gynophobia is concerned. Much to his chargrin, he's very popular with the ladies.

Guy is fairly tall, with a toned, slightly muscular build. He is a swordsman, if the sheathed sword at his side weren't hint enough, but his stregnth comes from capitalizing on his speed, which is what his body type is optimal for. He keeps his blond hair cut short, which makes it easy to see his sky blue eyes.

As far as clothing goes, Guy wears the simple clothing of a servant. White shirt, gold vest, black pants, boots, and a choker.
Personality: His sincerity is what stands out to many people who have encountered him. Many of the things that Guy says, he honestly means. It endears him to many, especially women, which is one of his greatest annoyances. Not because he actually hates women, it's just the tiniest complication, as he's very much a gynophobic thanks to his traumatic past.

Guy is a genuinely nice person. He tends to be more mellow in most situations, which is a rather good thing considering the company that he keeps. Guy keeps a level head in most situations, as long as they don't involve fon machinery. Guy throws all mellowness and level headedness out the window when it comes to fonmachinery, as he is in his own rights a fanboy.

Guy is somewhat stubborn, but not anywhere near the levels that Luke is. Guy also tends to be more aware of the feelings of those around him. He tries to be tactful and considerate, and sometimes cheer others up around him, but he's more than capable of tough love, especially for a certain redhead.

As a final note, Guy has a firm definition of right and wrong, and he doesn't waver from it.
Abilities, Weaknesses, and History
Abilities/Strengths: Guy is very adept with the sword, his particular style, Seigmund, capitalizing upon his speed more than his strength. He is also rather quick-minded and is knows when to tread with caution versus throwing all abandon to the wind. Guy is also rather good at keeping the peace among his friends.
Weapons: His sword~ :D
Weaknesses: His greatest weakness would be his inability to touch, or even come close to women. Guy is utterly terrified of them thanks to a tragedy that occurred when he was a young boy. It makes fighting them harder than is really necessary. Beyond that, Guy has all the typical limitations of a fighter. He has no useful way of healing himself once his Apple Gels run out.

History: Guy didn't always go by that. His given name is Gailardia Galan Gardios, and he was the son of Count Gardios of Malkuth. His original home was the isle of Hod, which was destroyed in the Hod war, but not before managing to leave seemingly permanent scarring on young Gailardia's mind.

Shortly before the Island was destroyed, House Gardios was attacked by Duke Fabre of Kimlasca. His orders were strict. "Anyone who is a fonist is a threat! Leave no one alive, not women, men, nor children!" At the time, Guy was five. His sister, Mary, and all of the female servants jumped in front of him to protect him from the oncoming White Knights of House Fabre. Guy passed out, and when he awoke, he found himself buried under their corpses.

Soon after that, Guy escaped with the man who taught him sword play, Pere. Guy couldn't remember how his family had died, the trauma forcing him to forget everything he had seen and leaving in its place paralyzing gynophobia. From there, he truly became Guy Cecil and worked towards revenge on Duke Fabre. Unfortunately for him, he became friends with the son of Duke Fabre, Luke. When Luke was ten, he was kidnapped, and it was entrusted to Guy to find him.

The White Knights didn't think very highly of this at all. However, Guy was able to find a completely amnesiac Luke and was able to find means to bring him back to Baticul, where Guy was put in charge of taking care of him as well.

The second time Luke vanished, this time thanks to a hyperresonance between him and Tear, Guy was again put in charge of figuring out just where Luke had disappeared to this time. Lucky enough for Guy, he was amazing enough to make a grand entrance at the Tartarus, turning the tables in favor of Luke, Jade, Ion, and Tear against two of the God-Generals.

From there, they worked as a peace emissary for Malkuth to Baticul. Though upon arriving, Guy knew the White Knights were not likely to be happy with his success yet again. He was planning on trying to pacify them when he found his services were needed once again, as he was accompany Luke to Akzeriuth (and Natalia snuck out with them), where everything fell apart with Luke destroying the city entirely at Van's orders.

Luke, Guy, Anise, Tear, Ion, Jade, and Natalia were able to make it out of the mess alive, but Guy's trust in Luke was severely damaged. Guy chose to leave Luke and instead follow the God General Asch the Bloody, who turned out to be the real Luke fon Fabre.

They returned to the surface, where they headed to the city of Belkend, to examine the labs where Van was said to frequent. After an encounter with Spinoza, Guy asked Asch where Luke would come to the surface at, and left the group to head for Aramis Spring, where he met the now-short-haired Luke and Tear. As they left Aramis Spring, Jade and Anise ran to meet them, exclaiming that Natalia and Ion had been taken to Daath, presumably under Grand Maestro Mohs's orders.

After infiltrating the Daath Cathedral to save their friends, Luke and Tear revealed that they had discovered Van's latest plan: the fall of St. Binah into the Quliphoth. From this, the crazy plan to lower the outerlands completely and stop the core's vibration, which was the cause of the deadly miasma, grew, leading Guy and his friends on a long adventure to the various sephiroths, where they would constantly butt heads with the God Generals.

At long last, their adventure seemed to be drawing to an end as they approached Mount Roneal, near Keterburg, to activate the next to last sephiroth. However, before they could enter the gate to the sephiroth, they met Arietta, Largo, and Legretta. From there, a fight ensured, and the fighting caused an avalanche, where Guy passed out.

When he awoke, he found himself in the Template Cathedral.
